Literacy and Career Development

Big Sandy Area Community Action Program (BSACAP) Head Start recognizes and supports parents' efforts to advance their literacy skills; and develop knowledge and skills that promote career advancement.

As funds are available, parents who have a child in BSACAP Head Start may request financial assistance to further their education at their local school or college.

 

COLLEGE TUITION ALLOTMENT

College Tuition: One, 3 credit, undergraduate course per semester, up to the current tuition rate charged by Morehead State University.

Vocational or Technical Training, up to $750.00 per semester.

 

 

LITERACY ALLOTMENT

GED Testing Fees if State of Kentucky Funds are not available

Mileage To and From GED Classes/Exams at current state rate

Baby Sitting Fees : $20.00 for up to 5 hours per day/$25.00 over 5 hours per day

Eye Exams and Glasses: Up $250.00 for exam and glasses/Up to $200 for glasses
