ERSEA

Eligibility ~ Recruitment
Selection ~ Enrollment ~ Attendance

On February 25, 2016, members of the grantee and delegate programs gathered together for the annual ERSEA training. All office staff with job duties relating to ERSEA were required to take part in this training. Then on February 26 and March 11, the teaching staff for Floyd and Pike Counties were also trained. Teaching staff in the other programs were not imcluded in these trainings because they are not responsible for assisting parents with the enrollment applications.

Training information focused on how to determine the eligibility of children and the proper procedures for enrollment on COPA, our online data system. It included the latest instructions found in the "Final Rule on Eligibility". I want to thank each person who attended and trust that the information will be valuable to you as we enter into another recruitment period and prepare for another group of enrollees during the upcoming months.

The PowerPoint presentations that were used during training are now posted on the left side of this page. All of the trainings from previous years have been removed due to some information being updated. Be sure to refer back to the presentations from this year to samples of documents proving Foster Care, Guardianship, SSI vs. Social Security, etc.

Also on the left side of this page is the link to "BSACAP ERSEA Procedures", which covers our program's entire process in the enrollment of children.
